Varieties and characteristics

Flowers Honey
Colour: Ámbar oscuro.
Smell: Floral nuances.
Flavour: Sweet and intense.
It comes from the nectar of various blooms of the Dehesa Extremeña.
Eucalyptus, lavender and broom flowers among many others accompany it. It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiseptic. It is perfect to prevent colds. Therefore, it is very digestive and regenerative for the blood. It increases
energy and it is ideal for breakfast.

Orange Blossom Honey
Colour: Light amber and yellow tones.
Smell: Orange trees.
Flavour: Sweet and soft.
It is obtained from the white flower´s nectar of the orange tree.
It is calming and effective against insomnia, anxiety and stress. It has antibacterial properties and it reinforces the immune system.
It is ideal to take before going to sleep or to relax and chill.

Eucalyptus Honey
Colour: Dark brown.
Smell: Balsamic aromas.
Flavour: Slightly woody.
It is obtained from the eucalyptus flower of the Guadiana´s banks (Badajoz).
It reinforces the immune system before possible colds and flu as well as some respiratory diseases (cough, pharyngitis, asthma...). It relieves nasal congestion and the excess the mucosa.
It is a great antiseptic for the urinary system by helping to eliminate kidney calculus, cystitis and nephritis.

Raw Forest Honey / Forest Honey
Colour: Black.
Smell: Aroma of dry forest leaves.
Flavour: Soft woody with little sweetness.
It is obtained from molasses of oak´s acorns.
It is the best honey of all of them due to its qualities. It has got high antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, heal and digestive properties. It reinforces the immune system. Its consumption is recommended in people with anaemia problems (due to its high iron contents and mineral salts), digestive disorders or for people with stress, physical or mental fatigue.
It is ideal for daily consumption.

Oak Tree Honey
Colour: Negro.
Smell: Malted, toasted aroma, very intense and persistent.
Flavour: Sweet taste with light salty notes.
It is obtained from molasses of oak´s acorns.
It is the best honey of all of them due to its qualities. It has got high antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, heal and digestive properties. It reinforces the immune system. Its consumption is recommended in people with anaemia problems (due to its high iron contents and mineral salts), digestive disorders or for people with stress, physical or mental fatigue.
It is ideal for daily consumption.

Thyme Honey
Colour: Dun.
Smell: Intense and persistent.
Flavour: Sweet, without cloying, smooth but with some acid feelings.
It improves digestion and it assists the internal circulation. It is ideal for treating throat infection by relieving pain in moderate cases due to its antiseptic quality. It is a powerful antioxidant and it promotes sleep thanks to its relaxing properties. In addition, it is rich in vitamins by supporting the different metabolic reactions.

Heather Honey
Colour: Dark Red.
Smell: Very intense.
Flavour: Sweet with some salty and bitter tones.
It is very thick and viscous honey. It is rich in diuretic and disinfectant properties. It is a fact that it is perfect to help fight urinary infections. Also, it can be used directly on the skin to provide relief in some swellings. Finally, it has got different antiseptic effect against any harmful microorganism.
Its consumption is recommended for those people who suffer some urine or bladder infections.

Pollen
Colour: Orange/yellow.
Smell: Aroma similar to the vanilla essence.
Flvour: Strong with a certain degree of vanilla flavour.
It is a source of proteins; it is rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E. Moreover, it improves the B complex, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and copper.
It prevents some infectious and intestinal diseases. It is ideal against fatigue, ageing and prostate. It is a fact that it battles the eye fatigue, varicose veins, arteriosclerosis, forgetfulness and depression. To sum up, it helps to recovery patients and people with some post-surgical intervention.

Propóleo
Color: Amarillo pardo.
Olor: Agradable con origen vegetal.
Sabor: Acre.
Elaborada por las abejas a partir de resinas de árboles, cera, aceites esenciales y polen.
Posee propiedades antimicrobianas, antiinflamatorias y antivirales. Bueno para el sistema inmunitario. Gracias a su importante dosis de polifenoles que actuándotelas sobre los radicales libres se convierte en un importante antioxidante.
También es un potente bactericida.

Why does honey crystallise?
Only quality natural honey crystallises.
Naturally packed honey remains liquid for a short period of time. Just the honey that has been through a pasteurization process loses its natural crystallisation property (heated more than 70ºC/degrees Celsius) which is its preservation process. For this reason, they are always in a liquid state.
Crystallised honey is an indicator of quality, although not all varieties do it in the same way. Light honey from flowers does it faster than dark honey from molasses.
